Matching Senior Citizens with Adoptable Senior Pets
Hi Tor offers a special program for senior citizens who would like to discover or re-visit the joys of having a companion animal in their lives. The program places senior cats and dogs (typically over six years of age) with senior citizens who are 60 years of age or older.
Hi Tor’s expert matchmakers will help you select a companion who fits into your lifestyle and housing situation at a reduced adoption rate of $25. Learn more about this program by calling the shelter @ 845-354-7900.

Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program
for Dogs
Great News! We have partnered with The Animal Rights Alliance to bring low-cost spay/neuter services to Rockland County! Thanks to a generous grant from the ASPCA, T.A.R.A. is now able to provide free shuttle service to and from their state-of-the-art stationary clinic in Middletown, NY to have your dog spayed/neutered at a reduced fee.
How does it work? Hi Tor schedules appointments, collect payments, and helps with morning check-in. Patients are driven to the clinic in a safe, climate-controlled, custom shuttle vehicle, for surgery. They are brought back to Hi Tor the same day for pick-up by you.
